Management Team

IFA Portals is small but rapidly growing company, we've got some excellent people delivering, servicing and developing your IFAPortal websites. Unfortunately for you,  the people you're most likely to come into contact with at exhibitions and the like are the management team, and as it goes they're okay too.

Below we've provided a short biography for each member of the management team.

Mark Barry - Managing Director

Mark has been in the financial services industry for the past 25 years and still owns a firm of financial advisers in the Greater Manchester area.Since launching IFAPortals in April 2004 more and more of his time has been dedicated to building IFAPortals into one of the major providers of websites to the IFA/Mortgage Broker community.

Mark is now pretty much full time in IFAPortals due to him adopting a completely “hands on approach” he contacts every new customer personally, along with performing on-line demonstrations and telephone training-this ensures that he remains at the sharp end of the business so that he can listen to feedback and respond accordingly.

Mark believes his 25 years in Financial Services puts him a unique position when understanding the needs of IFAs and what they require from their websites especially in the area of compliance where IFAPortals strive to supply the most up to date compliant content available without the IFA having to worry that it will not be appropriate.

Oliver Phillips - Technical Director

Oliver is a qualified management accountant with over 12 years experience of utilising web technologies in the workplace for process improvement and cost reduction.  He's developed web based/intranet financial planning and reporting applications in several commercially oriented finance roles with Halliwells LLP, Big Food Group plc, Iceland plc, MBNA Europe and Royal Mail.

Oliver has worked with IFA Portals in a technical consultancy capacity since 2005, and joined the management team on a permanent basis in November 2007, to lead the redevelopment of the IFAPortal website platform.

Andy Griffiths – Design & Support Manager

Andy is a professionally qualified Graphic Designer by trade and has been in the industry for the past 10 years. During this time he has gained a wealth of knowledge and has helped a wide variety of clients with all aspects of design, both online and off.

At the beginning of his design career, Andy primarily focused on design for print, building memorable brands that really helped his clients stand out from the crowd. Through his own professional development and experience in working for several web design agencies – Andy now also has the skills to produce websites that are both visually appealing and feature rich.

After joining IFA Portals in May 2011, Andy has taken on the role of Design & Support manager. This role encompasses looking after the day-to-day support queries from customers whilst also heading up the design side of things. It is his responsibility to manage and implement the building of website portals and any bespoke design & print work, such as logos, stationery, brochures and newsletters.

Outside of work – when Andy is not working on various other design related projects, he spends most of his free time with his family, especially his young daughter.
