We’ve been using IFA Portals for over a year now and we are delighted with the level of service that they have offered us. The team are very knowledgeable, responsive and helpful – they remain in good contact and inform you on a regular basis.

The functionality of their Content Management System is excellent. It is very straightforward to use, robust and very customisable. IFAPortals, quite selflessly, have no problem allowing you to create your own true identity and remove all references to them as the “backroom boys”. Even if you have very basic knowledge of HTML or CSS, you can quite powerfully steer the website in any direction you like. Meanwhile, IFAPortals will help you to ensure that it remains compliant and is suitable for viewing by the general public.

Although we use the website primarily to reinforce our branding and status, we have had a lot of success using it to distribute our weekly client newsletter and other useful literature. We now use it directly in meetings to help our clients calculate pension shortfalls and future tax liabilities – the clients love the calculators – the animated flash-based content is full of colour and it really helps to engage the client.

For small businesses who are creatively minded and have a very basic knowledge of how websites function, I would highly recommend this package to them. Do not make the same mistake our company made and attempt to build it internally or use your own Content Management System. It’s not worth worrying about the compliance. More importantly, it is not profitable. IFAPortals will give you enough flexibility to create your own look cost effectively, so just outsource it.

Elm Wealth Management LLP, a client of IFA Portals for nearly three years, recently elected to move to the new IFAPortal 2.0 platform and upgrade their email systems to MS Exchange at the same time. Will Lloyd, Partner at Elmweath Management LLP explains further.

"We selected IFA Portals Ltd to be our website supplier quite a while ago and have been very happy throughout that period.  Owing to a change in our business structure, we needed to review our website and e-mail proposition.

So we looked at the new offering provided by IFA Portals.  All I can say is that the new-look website is fantastic, we especially like the market feeds and commentary, Along with this prominence of the “My portfolio” button allows our clients to access valuations in back-office software system, makes it very client-friendly (not a bad thing in these days of TCF).

The icing on the cake for us, was moving to a Microsoft Exchange Server (also hosted by IFA Portals).  Previously we ‘did our own thing’, but now we have a fully backed-up and robust e-mail service accessible anywhere in the world! Furthermore, we have been able to add wireless e-mail functionality as our mobile telecom supplier was able to get feeds from the new e-mail server.

Having researched this area, I think that the proposition and package provided is stunning value for money (but don't tell them that they might put the prices up!). Once we had decided to move, the transition I'm glad to say was painless.  This was down to excellent on-line tutorials and information along with e-mail assistance to answer any questions that we had.
