Compliant Content Library

IFA Portals provide a suite of regularly updated compliance approved information and publish this to your IFAPortal website.

With our background in financial services, and also through having worked with several networks over the past 3 years we understand how important compliance is;  the emphasis networks place on ensuring your advertising promotions which include your website have been checked and approved before they are published; how onerous and often expensive it can be for the individual IFA or mortgage adviser to ensure their website is compliant and properly controlled using a traditional web designer.

On top of this we know that compliance is not always a finite science, there is room for interpretation of the FSA guidelines, meaning that information one network approves, another might ask to be amended.  What's needed is a flexible yet robust approach?!

IFA Portal's Approach - Flexible, Robust...Worldclass

All IFAPortal websites utilise our in-house developed compliant content library; it's designed to provide all the flexibilty you want, and at the same time,  the control your regulator needs.

All the content in our library is managed using strict publish, approve, review and expire processes - ensuring that only current and approved information is offered to your users.

Broadly the main features of our compliant content library include:

  • Tailored Content - If you belong to a particular network, your IFAPortal website will host only content that is approved by your network.
  • Centralised Library - If requested we allow our partners compliance teams access to the content library so information can be approved centrally one time, and not several times on individual websites, thus keeping their costs down which hopefully keeps yours down too!
  • Robust Control - Only approved content can  be selected by you, to use on your IFAPortal website, giving you piece of mind.
  • Review Date - Information that has been flagged for review on a certain date will be notified to the compliance team, so they can log in to reauthorise it.
  • Expire Date - Any content that reaches its preset expiry date will automatically disappear from your IFAPortal website, until such time it is reauthorised.
  • Version Control - All changes to a document in the content library are logged and a snapshot created, in case the old version is ever needed.
  • Status Control - All changes in status are also logged; we can audit the lifecycle of a document, from being added to published to approved, to unapproved etc.
How your visitors want it

As well as displaying content from the library on your IFAPortal website, your visitors can choose to have the information formatted so they can easilly print it;  they can even download the articles that interest them in PDF format.

Everything that's printed and/or downloaded from your IFAPortal website is stamped with your business name, and website address and crucially the publication and expiry date of the article, making it easy to tell if the information is current or out of date.

All the PDF downloads are created in real time, so if a change is made to an article in our content library, not only does your website update, any PDF files downloaded will contain the latest information too!

FREQUENT UPDATES
Minimize

We add new content frequently, and obviously ensure that existing content remains correct taking into account things like changes in tax legislation.

When we add new content to the library, assuming it's approved and live, all you need to do to display it on your website is log in and select it.

Similarly, if you don't want to show one of our standard articles, for example if you're not authorised in that area, simply uncheck it and it will not be displayed on your IFAPortal website.

ATTENTION TO DETAIL
Minimize

Attention to detail is important, often the little things count.

Did you know that when  we publish your email address on your IFAPortal website, we do so using an advanced "email cloaking" script that will prevent spambots/email harvesting systems from identifying and collecting your address.

Of course when your visitors click on the link to contact you, it works as normal, opening their email client.
